Lady Gaga’s Interview For Fashion Magazine
By: Staff | Posted on:
I feel like this was a serendipitous meeting, because we were supposed to meet in March and you had just come back from the Mugler show, and you’re on tour, and your publicist said, “She’s got to stop the interviews because she is exhausted.” How are you feeling?
I’m feeling great. It was a very, very busy day.

I can just imagine your schedule is a whirlwind. How do you not get depleted with all your energy?
Well, that was such an exciting day for me, and if I could describe my artistic process, I would say that I make music for my fans, and for the Haus of Gaga, and I create work for my factory. Nick [Formichetti] was one of the most important people in my life, and his work at Mugler is so beautiful and so forward, and so natural, and so pop-whimsical, and it was so exciting for me to enjoy that moment with him, and for him to honor me in a way and bless me with the opportunity to walk the runway, and to represent his collection.

Amazon loses over $3 million selling Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'
By: Staff | Posted on: Friday, 3 June 2011
Lady Gaga's second album 'Born This Way' is reported to have cost online retailer Amazon over $3 million (£1.85 million) since it went on sale last Monday (May 23).

The retailer had been selling the digital version of the album at a heavily discounted 99 cents (60p) in a effort to hook in customers, but according to the New York Magazine, it has set Amazon back over $3 million as they have been paying the singer's record label Universal $9 (£5.60) per album they sell. As they've moved over 440,000 downloads, this adds up to over $3 million.

Gaga said yesterday that she believed a digital version of 'Born This Way', wasn't worth more than the 99 cents Amazon were charging. She said: "For MP3s and digital music. It’s invisible. It’s in space. If anything, I applaud a company like Amazon, for equating the value of digital versus the physical copy, and giving the opportunity to everyone to buy music."

'Born This Way' was released last Monday (May 23) and has so far shifted over 1.1 million copies in the US and over 220,000 in the UK.

Lady Gaga imitation goes wrong in New Jersey
By: Staff | Posted on:
A New Jersey school employee was in trouble on Thursday after telling students they were being treated to an online chat with Lady Gaga but substituted an impersonator instead, authorities said.

The elementary school employee in Tenafly, across the Hudson River from New York, had promised students that the celebrity would give an anti-bullying talk via the Internet last month, officials said.

"Knowing how disappointed the children would be, without authorization the staff developer made arrangements for an impersonator to take Lady Gaga's place -- a clear lapse in judgment," said Lynn Trager, superintendent of Tenafly public schools, in a letter to parents,

Trying to keep up the illusion, the fake Lady Gaga told the students her webcam was broken and she could only interact via a text-based chat program.

The employee also handed out signed photographs of the singer, and the ruse was exposed when a student noticed the autographs were forged, she said.

"Although her actions were inexcusable, I do believe that this was a misguided attempt to reward the children" after they had prepared for a test, the letter said.

Trager said "appropriate action" was taken against the employee for violating the school's "highest moral standards of honesty and integrity" but would not provide any details as it was a personnel matter.

Lady Gaga, who has risen to worldwide fame with such hits as "Born This Way," often speaks out against discrimination and bullying, saying she was a victim at school.

Lady Gaga had not been aware of the situation, a spokeswoman said.

"She had no knowledge of this and is currently discussing plans to do something with the school, but nothing has been solidified yet," said Holly Shakoor, a spokeswoman for Lady Gaga, in an email to Reuters.
